KOKO’s memory grew out of our earlier work on MyMemo, an AI memory assistant. We’ve spent years on one question: how can an AI remember a person’s life the way a caring family member would?
RGB-D vision maps the home and semantic mapping recognizes everyday objects, so KOKO knows where things are and notices how the home changes.
A vision-language-action model lets KOKO learn physical tasks from demonstration. New skills are released as each one becomes reliable.
Real-time SLAM for navigation, dynamic obstacle awareness, and a bionic palm for a stable, gentle grasp.

My grandfather lived with Alzheimer’s for nearly ten years. He forgot his medicine. He misplaced things. Slowly, he forgot many parts of daily life, but he never forgot me.
When I moved away to study, I couldn’t always be there.
That stayed with me. KOKO was born from a simple idea: when family can’t be there, something still can, to remember, to help, and to stay close.
